ALL PARENTS have a very sacred obligation to provide Religious Education and formation for your children (and yourselves). That formation needs to take place in one of two ways; by providing a Catholic School education for their child(ren) or by making sure they attend the scheduled CCD Classes (Faith Formation) provided by the parish. To ignore this responsibility is serious. Please make every effort to participate in the programs – Faith Formation, Junior Youth Ministry (JYM), and Senior Youth Ministry (SYM). God will bless you if you do.
Faith Formation Classes for grades K-4 are held at the Seton Center on Sunday mornings from 9:20 – 10:30 am. Contact Sister Charlene at the Parish Office (724-864-6364) if you have any questions or are able to help. Help is always need as Catechist, aid/helpers, and volunteers. Catechist training and Virtus training (Protecting God’s Children) are provided.
Dates for First Penance & First Communion will be announced at the beginning of the school year.
Junior Youth Ministry (JYM)- is a joint youth ministry program serving the parishes of St. Agnes, Immaculate Conception and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Churches. The JYM exists to reach out to students in grades 5-8 to invite them to worship, serve others and learn more about our faith through instruction and service. Meetings are held on Sunday evenings from 6-8 pm in the Bishop Bosco Center. Registration forms are in the back of church. Adult helpers are always needed as teachers, aides, snack time, and other activities. It is under the direction of Mary Blythe, Ginny McConnell and Sister Charlene.
Senior Youth Ministry (SYM) – The Greater Norwin Area Catholic Senior Youth Ministry (GNAC) works to help our high school youth (grades 9-12) learn to know, love, and serve the Lord through service projects, fellowship in Christ and faith-filled experiences. It is comprised of youth from the area parishes of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Immaculate Conception and St. Agnes. They meet on Sunday evenings at the Bishop Bosco Center from 6-8 pm. For more information, contact Susan Cheplic at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adult Formation sessions are held each Lenten Season by Sister Charlene. Other sessions are held periodically by Father Len or with an outside speaker or a movie. Watch the bulletin and website for more information.
