On this “day after” Christmas, it is fitting that we take a moment and express a word of deep gratitude to a number of groups of people. We are most grateful to our parish staff for their hard work and committed dedication to the life of the parish. Christmas involves many additional things, early deadlines for bulletins that have us acknowledging the beauty of days that have not yet happened (and hoping nothing unusual comes up). A special word of thanks to Shon, our director of plant operations for unpacking and helping the decorating crews.
We are most grateful to those who gave of their time and abilities to transform our church into a festive place of worship. Under the direction of Helen Pensenstadler, this group of parishioners (and even a new person this year) did great work in a few hours last Sunday afternoon. Also a word to Debbie Swartzbeck and Julie Henry for setting up the Nativity scene.
Christmas would not be Christmas without music! Long hours of practice and tremendous talent were brought to our celebrations this Christmas. Under the direction of Marion Siebert, our Director of Music, and Diana Mikash, Director of Young Voices, and with the assistance of our loyal band of musicians, our choirs enhanced your participation in the liturgical celebrations. For all who contributed to the music program, thank you.
To our liturgical ministers – thank you, thank you, thank you! To ALL who attended Masses over Christmas, we are most grateful for you presence. For your generous spirit to the parish, for your generosity to the poor during Advent, and for your personal kindnesses – a deep thank you. And to our children who helped us to not miss the spirit of this sacred time – we are blessed by you and by your simplicity.
TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF OUR PARISH FAMILY, TO THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS, AND TO ALL WITHIN THE NORWIN COMMUNITY IN PARTICULAR … A BLESSED CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
