One of our parish traditions at holiday time is to help supplement the food stuffs that our local Saint Vincent de Paul sponsored Food Bank distributes monthly to individuals and families in need.  Operation Christmas Totes this year was once again spearheaded by Lori Anselmino and Chris Komondor and their families and a great group of helpers.  They were joined by a multitude of wonderful and generous people from the parish who provided Christmas Dinner Totes for nearly one hunderd and fifteen families.  This was supplemented by contributions of food baskets that IC shared, since the number of families receiving last Saturday was about two hundred.  In addition to the Totes, the parish also gave a Giant Eagle gift card to each recipient, with those not receiving Totes receiving additional cards.  Check out the photo gallery page for a glimpse of the bounty that many of you provided.  Also check out the pictures of the Lunch Bags for the kids that also are given out at Food Bank.  Pope Francis reminds us of the scandal of hunger in this world, and the need to touch the lives of those in need.  On behalf of those who received through your generous spirit … Thank You, God Bless You and Merry Christmas!
