HAIL and FAREWELL

Transitions are always important in life, and the same holds true for the life of the parish.  We are behind in asking your prayers for those who have joined the Family of God through baptism and those who have claimed the promise of Eternal Life given them in baptism.

We say “HAIL!” or welcome to the Family of God to the following four who were baptized in our Church during November and congratulations to their parents and families.  On the 3rd of November during the 8:30 am liturgy we shared the Sacrament of Baptism with SOPHIA LUCILLE HARSHMAN, the daughter of Keith and Dana Saula Harshman and TOBIAS ALEXANDER PETERS, the son of Matthew and Heather Eash Peters.  And on November 17th after the 11:00 am Mass we welcomed ALANIA LEE SAUNDERS, daughter of David and Shandra Kalina Saunders as well as MAXWELL JAMES NESE, son of Eric and Stephanie Zangrelli Nese.  Tobias’ Mom & Dad sent the following photos.

We say “Farewell!” to the following who died and were buried from or who had ties to our Church during November.  On Tuesday the 19th of November we celebrated Mass for MARY ELLEN YANICHKO, age 79, who had died in her home.  She is survived by her daughters Lynn of White Oak, Beth of White Oak and Karen of North Huntingdon, and three brothers.  On Wednesday Father Len had a blessing Service for CHERYL LONG of Jeannette, whose Mom and Dad (Neil and Angela Middleton) were members here at SEAS.  Cheryl was 56, and is survived by her husband Robert and two children – Robert and Jennifer – as well as siblings.  And on Friday we celebrated the funeral Mass for longtime parishioner HELEN BORUCH, 90, who was a charter member of the Christian Mothers of our parish.  She is survived two sons and a daughter – Michael, James and Michele Parry – as well as four grandchildren.   May their souls Rest in Peace.
