NATIVITY SET – Many people gave a donation with their list of loved ones to be prayed for during this month of November. We are using these monies, along with an amount left over from Lent of last year, to purchase a new outdoor nativity set comprised of the Holy Family and the Three Kings. This set was ordered with Saint Joseph being back ordered (maybe there are a lot of houses on the market?). We thank those who were generous, and we look forward to Light-Up Night and the beauty of the Christmas Season as this new Nativity set graces our church grounds.
LIGHTING THE WAY – We noticed, especially last year, how easy it can be at night to miss the entrance to our church driveway. To help with this problem, we recently installed a pole light near the Church sign which provides a light for our way to the Church. This new light came from our general expenses, which means that “all of us” paid for it. Thank you, and thanks to Shon for working out the details.
AED’S PURCHASED – A long time ago we spoke of purchasing two AED units to provide assistance for those who may be having a heart emergency at Church or in Mack Hall. They have arrived, and once we have determined the best location, and had training sessions with the ushers and others, they will be a welcome safety addition to our building. Thanks to all who made this possible, especially Gene Komondor who helped facilitate their purchase.
